CAST IRON CASTOR WHEELS – 350-1500KG RATED

This wheel is made of solid cast iron. It is used on its own or in heavy duty castors.

Due to it being solid cast iron it is very strong and will take high loads. With no type of tread the cast iron wheel has very low rolling resistance and combined with the ball bearing centres makes them easy to push when high load castors are used.
They have very good wear properties as the tread is cast iron; when installed will last a very long time.
Cast iron wheels are also resistant to a lot of abrasive and aggressive substances.
Typical applications are in the gantry castors and boat cradles. They can also be used, in some castors, where heat is an issue like foundry castors and automotive autoclave castors.

NYLON CASTOR WHEELS WITH ROLLER BEARING – 200-750KG RATED

As with the basic WNY range of Nylon wheels; these Nylon castor wheels have the same properties but are fitted with roller bearing centres. The roller bearing wheels have even less rolling resistance which helps with the initial inertia needed in getting a castor/trolley to move.

These are solid Nylon wheels. Nylon wheels have a high load capacity and are resistant to shock.
Nylon wheels are very strong and have low rolling resistance which makes the easy to move.
They also offer high resistance to a lot of chemicals so are ideal in many castor applications.
Typical castor applications include truck and trolley castors, warehouse trolleys and anywhere that requires a good carrying capacity castor with low rolling resistance.

POLYPROPYLENE CASTOR WHEELS – 40-220KG RATED

Polypropylene is a hard material for a wheel but has good fracture resistant.
The Polypropylene wheel is often sold as an alternative to nylon as it has very similar properties but is slightly less to buy.
It has a good rolling resistance and can carry good load capacities compared to castor wheels of the same size. It has a good resistance to a lot of harmful materials found in industry, acid and oils etc. We do a range of Polyprop wheels from 80mm wheels to 125mm wheels; these come with either plain bore wheels or roller bearing wheels.

Bolt Hole castors with a pressed steel castor bracket, fitted with a synthetic non-marking rubber wheel with precision ball bearings and plastic thread guards .

These bolt hole casters range from 100mm-125mm and have a capacity up to 130 KG per castor.

Grey non-marking thermoplastic rubber, TPR, Tyres offer quiet running and protect floors from damage.

They are bonded to plastic or nylon centres and are used a lot for medical castors and furniture castors.
